Our approach to adult instruction incorporates all the requisite elements of instructional technology, adult learning theory, effective information transfer, a positive learning environment, and performance improvements in the workplace CRA uses an integral five step process that will help ensure that the proper training materials are created, the right training courses are conducted, and the appropriate training documentation is completed.
Step 1—Training Needs Assessment The first step in our training approach ensures that your employees receive the proper training. We can work with you and your staff to identify the specific courses that are required, establish the training goals and objectives that must be gained by course attendees, and the proper training curriculum is applied. In this step our experts help you define:
- The regulatory requirements that will apply to the job tasks employees will perform;
- The current practices that the training course must address; and
- Your policies, programs and practices are integrated into the training curriculum.
- Establish the best approach to ensure training competency is achieved.
Step 2—Designing Effective Training Materials Based on your current needs, our training professionals can design the training courses and develop effective materials that are right for you. We use our own proven training materials and customize them to your needs, thereby providing materials in a cost-effective manner. Our standard training materials include:
- Customized Microsoft® Powerpoint overhead presentations that serve as training outline and ensure that each training session is conducted in a consistent manner;
- A course agenda and training manual using the "Note Slide" format; and
- Applicable student handouts such as regulatory letter of interpretation or recent articles on the subject matter.
Step 3—Training Delivering Our training professionals are prepared to conduct each course in a professional manner. We provide all necessary training materials, training equipment and instructors. Each training course is presented in a multi-media format (video, slides, and visual aids) using instructional presentation techniques to include lecture, guided discussions, and interactive table top exercises as applicable. Class participants will each receive a student manual designed to follow the presentation of the course that will include a copy of the presentation slides and applicable material/handouts.
Step 4—Evaluating Training Course Effectiveness At the end of each training course, students are asked to complete a course evaluation form that includes a critique of the course materials, audiovisual materials, training methods, the instructors's abilities, possible course improvements, and other suggestions. The courses are continuously improved and updated to keep current with new regulations, course information, and up to date instructional methods.
Step 5—Documentation Training Compliance A certificate of completion will be issued to those students meeting all of the requirements of a specific course. These requirements include attendance at all sessions, participation in all portions of the course, and the successful completion of a written examination when applicable. Wallet cards are also provided for specific courses.
